Rojas is a league average player with an OPS of .776 over the last 3 years. 32 Years old this year, by the time my team is competitive in 2-3 years any benefit from SB will probably be negligible and the average skills might decline into less than average skills. Rather he go somewhere he can win a ring now while he still has the chance to contribute with a high AVG, some SBs thrown in here and there, and with some Runs scored.
Thompson is a promising young arm in a fun and established farm system. His time frame of 2-3 years means he should be approaching the Majors when the rest of my team is and I trust the White Sox development team. The pick as always allows me to take a Hail Mary and bolster the farm system in general.
