The rules committee has made the following changes:
Injured List:
We have increased the amount of non-COVID related IL spots from three (3) to five (5) given the amount of players that have begun the season on the IL. You still have unlimited spots for COVID related players
Salary Retention:
Retention of salary in trades is the only money that is allowed to be traded. The maximum amount of salary that can be retained is 40% of the player's current cap hit. No cash or cap considerations can be traded, only salary retention. An owner can only retain salary on a player for that current season and the next one, no longer than that. In order to retain on the following season, you must retain on the current season
You are only allowed to retain salary on a maximum of three players per season.
If a player is traded to another team and either has salary retained or an extension given post-trade, that player CANNOT be traded back to their original team within 4 months of the first trade.
Position eligibility:
Given the shortened season last year, we have changed the position eligibility requirements for the previous year for position players only from 20 to 8. The previous season's requirements for SP and RP will remain the same.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you!
